Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Bakery Cafe to lead one of Miami most vibrant bakery cafe. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of bakery cafe operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, efficient management of staff, and seamless food service delivery. Your leadership will drive the bakery’s success by fostering a positive team environment, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and optimizing operational efficiency. Responsibilities Lead daily operations, including managing front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver outstanding service and food quality. Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling to ensure compliance with safety standards and consistency in presentation. Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to maximize profitability. Supervise staff training and development, including interviewing candidates, onboarding new team members, and conducting performance evaluations. Utilize POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts while maintaining productivity and morale. Implement food safety protocols in accordance with industry regulations and best practices. Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and analyze financial reports to support the restaurant’s growth objectives. Foster a team-oriented environment through effective leadership, motivation, and clear communication. Requirements Proven management experience within the food service industry, preferably in quick service & fast food or casual dining environments. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and culinary operations. Hands-on experience with POS systems Square or Toast; familiarity with cash handling procedures. Strong supervisory skills with experience in staff training & development; ability to interview and select top talent. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences. Ability to manage inventory control effectively while adhering to food safety standards. Demonstrated leadership in hospitality management with experience supervising teams in busy restaurant settings. Knowledge of budgeting principles along with food production and food management expertise. Experience working in fine dining or casual dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
