Job Description
THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Division Manager who is a positive change agent and can drive high customer satisfaction, while leading a Division team, along with a back-office staff to support a Division that is experiencing exciting growth. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has experience managing a team in the fire and life safety industry and is ready to assume ownership of a division management role, while being part of a vibrant national organization. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!) Lead and manage the fire and life safety activities in an assigned division. Develop and implement a strategic growth strategy in line with company objectives. Responsible for developing annual budgets and achieving revenue and profitability targets. Manage Profit and Loss statement of the Division. Support achievement of cash flow and Net Working Capital (NWC) targets. Manage and achieve operations performance, including achievement of key metrics. Responsible for building a high-performance culture to include annual engagement reviews and development initiatives. Responsible for efficient asset management, such as inventory and company service vehicles. Responsible for manpower planning, staffing, and allocation. Achieve employee and customer satisfaction targets. Communicate with customers, employees, vendors, and partners to achieve annual targets. Responsible to ensure all employees embrace the safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives. WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU Two to five years of experience in a Division Management role within the fire and life safety industry. Proven track record of growing a business as a Division Manager. Ability to effectively communicate to a diverse group of individuals, including company leadership, employees, regional staff, customers, and vendors. Strong, positive team builder with leadership ability. Knowledge of current fire and life safety systems. Proficient in NFPA codes and standards Strong understanding of Profit and Loss statements and key financial drivers. Ability to attract, develop, grow, and retain a team. Professional business, engineering or equivalent degree. Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills. Strong computer skills, proficient at Microsoft Office.
