About the Role Sauermann, a VERDER company, is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead its US sales organization. This role is responsible for driving profitable organic growth, strengthening market position, and ensuring operational excellence. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on commercial execution and full ownership of business performance. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a commercial strategy aligned with the Verder Liquids division to expand Sauermann’s market presence Drive revenue growth and profitability by achieving ambitious sales targets across existing customers and new business Define, manage, and deliver annual business plans, including budgets and investments Analyze business performance and implement improvements in processes, structure, and operations Provide accurate financial, commercial, and management reporting to the division Build, lead, and develop a high-performing commercial and operational team Create and sustain an inclusive, entrepreneurial, and performance-driven culture Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams Actively engage in key accounts and strategic projects to drive growth Attract, retain, and develop top talent within the organization Foster collaboration across international teams and effectively bridge cultural differences Act as Managing Director of the local Sauermann entity where required Key Performance Indicators Revenue, gross margin, and EBITDA performance against targets and prior year Market share growth and competitive positioning Contribution to overall divisional performance New customer acquisition and growth of existing accounts Expansion of OEM, system integrator, and key account relationships Delivery of operational and commercial excellence Execution of strategic initiatives and projects Accuracy and quality of financial and sales reporting Stakeholder satisfaction and employee engagement Overall business performance Candidate Profile Education (Master's) Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field Experience At least 5 years of leadership and sales experience in a manufacturing environment Proven track record in driving growth and managing structured sales processes Experience with ERP systems, CRM tools, and digital collaboration platforms Demonstrated experience in process improvement and leading both direct and indirect teams Skills & Competencies Strong commercial acumen with a history of developing and growing accounts Knowledge of industrial markets and products; experience in pumps or related industries is preferred Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural and international environment High integrity, resilience, flexibility, and self-awareness Additional Requirements Willingness to travel (approximately 25% domestically and 5% internationally) Flexibility in working hours Our Culture As part of Verder Inc., Sauermann operates in line with the Verder DNA: Family, Continuous Improvement, Attention to Detail, Passion, and Responsibility.
