About The Opportunity We are seeking a General Services Manager to lead the non-clinical operations at our Clayton aged care home. This role oversees catering, cleaning, laundry and maintenance services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe and efficient support services that contribute to the wellbeing of our residents. As a key member of the leadership team, the General Services Manager is responsible for ensuring operational processes run smoothly and meet all regulatory and registration standards. The role also manages workforce planning, rostering and procurement activities within delegated authority, ensuring services are delivered in line with Fronditha Care’s policies, procedures and approved systems. The Day-To-Day Responsibilities Lead and deliver an exceptional resident experience across catering, cleaning, laundry and maintenance services in line with aged care standards. Manage workforce planning, master rostering and staff utilisation to ensure adequate coverage, minimise agency use and support team performance. Oversee food services, dining experience and food safety compliance to meet dietary, regulatory and satisfaction standards. Ensure operational compliance including WHS, infection control, audits, emergency preparedness and contractor management. Manage budgets, procurement, inventory and administrative systems to ensure cost control and accurate reporting. Lead, coach and develop ancillary teams through effective onboarding, performance management and continuous improvement initiatives. What Success Looks Like For This Role Minimum 3 years’ experience in aged care, health or hospitality within a regulated environment. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business/Health Management or equivalent experience (Certificate IV in Ageing Support advantageous). Strong knowledge of aged care standards, accreditation requirements and compliance frameworks (food safety, hygiene, WHS). Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams to deliver person-centred, high-quality services. Demonstrated ability to manage workforce planning, rostering systems (e.g. UKG), procurement and operational administration. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and customer service skills. Experience driving continuous improvement and maintaining compliance within service delivery. Culturally sensitive with experience supporting diverse communities (Greek language skills highly regarded). Why choose a career with Fronditha Care?
