About us Northern Energy Services is looking for a motivated individual to join our team.NES specializes in Drilling Rig Relocation, Heavy Haul Trucking, Crane Services, Pilot Car Services, Wind Energy Transport and Support and Crane Inspections..Benefits:100% paid Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.401K, Life Insurance, Long and Short Term Disability are Available.Job Summary:The General Shop Laborer is responsible for assisting with various tasks in the shop, including material handling, equipment support, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.This role requires physical labor, attention to safety, and the ability to follow instructions.Key Responsibilities:Assist technicians, mechanics, or machine operators with daily tasks Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and machinery Perform basic maintenance tasks (sweeping, organizing, waste disposal) Operate simple tools and equipment (training provided) Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times Move materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment Support inventory organization and stocking Requirements:High school diploma or GED (preferred, not always required) Ability to lift heavy objects (often 25-50lbs) Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus Willingness to learn and take direction Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of workplace safety Work Environment:Industrial or shop setting (may include noise, dust, and varying temperatures) Requires standing, bending, lifting, and physical activity throughout the shift Preferred Skills (Optional):Experience with hand and power tools Forklift certification Previous labor or warehouse experience Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $20.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
