German Saturday School Adult Assistant

For the 2024/2025 school year, we are looking for committed German Saturday School Adult Assistants . The South Bay Deutscher Schulverein (SBDS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit school and teaches the German language and culture in San Jose / Campbell, CA on 30 Saturday mornings during the year. We have 250 students in 21 classes, a lively community with active parents and an average teacher / student ratio of 1:5. For the beginning of the new school year 2024-2025 SBDS is looking for Adult Assistants in several classes. Class time: 30 Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a 30-minute recess. Regular pay is for 3 hours per Saturday. Pay rate is $21.50 per hour. First day of school: September 7, 2024 REQUIREMENTS Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer Good German language skills (speaking, reading, and writing) depending on the grade level Enjoy working with children or teenagers Contribute to create a positive learning environment Willing to work with teachers and teenage assistants in the classroom, helping them engage with activities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Be reliable and punctual Have a positive attitude towards students learning German on Saturday mornings Be a team player Job Type: Part-time Pay: $22.00 - $22.10 per hour Ability to Commute Campbell, CA 95008 (Required) Work Location: In person
