The Office fosters innovation through partnerships, supports grant administration, and facilitates outreach and education activities. By promoting renewable and efficient energy solutions, the Office aligns energy development with Louisiana’s economic growth and environmental resilience goals, advancing the state’s energy future through strategic collaborations and informed policy decisions. Going forward, OEN integrates program development, rulemaking, stakeholder engagement, and energy planning into a single hub that drives Louisiana’s energy future. It develops policy, manages data and statistics, and conducts fiscal and risk analyses to guide enforcement priorities, emphasizing protection of good operators, risk-based resource allocation, and solution-oriented compliance. The office oversees communications, public engagement, intergovernmental affairs, and coalition-building, ensuring transparency and alignment with state and federal initiatives. At the same time, OEN manages federal energy grants, supports permitting of renewable assets, and advances grid resilience, microgrids, hydrogen,
