Job Description
About Verita AI Verita AI builds high-trust data pipelines that enable AI systems to understand real-world workflows across specialized professional domains. We work with domain experts to teach models how complex technical work actually happens in practice, from routine analysis to nuanced judgment calls. Brief Description We're hiring GIS & Geospatial specialists to help train and evaluate AI systems on real-world ArcGIS workflows. You will translate deep geospatial knowledge into structured tasks and evaluate AI outputs for analytical correctness, methodological soundness, and professional-grade quality. What You'll Do Author high-quality, realistic ArcGIS tasks grounded in professional geospatial workflows, including spatial analysis, data editing, map production, and geoprocessing Define evaluation criteria and expected outputs for each task so AI-generated work can be scored for correctness, completeness, and methodological soundness Review and evaluate AI-generated geospatial work for analytical accuracy, appropriate tool usage, and adherence to GIS best practices Provide detailed feedback to improve AI outputs across geospatial reasoning and cartographic quality Document analytical logic, tool selection rationale, and domain conventions clearly Domain Focus Spatial analysis (overlay, proximity, surface, network analysis) Geodatabase management (file and enterprise geodatabases, feature classes, raster datasets) Map production, symbology, labeling, and cartographic standards Geoprocessing automation via ArcPy and ModelBuilder Data integration across coordinate systems, projections, and interchange formats Tools & Context You'll work with, or help AI systems reason about, the same tools and artifacts used in professional GIS environments, including: ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online ArcPy scripting and ModelBuilder Geodatabases, feature classes, and raster datasets Map layouts, symbology, and labeling configurations Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML, and other standard formats Python scripting for geoprocessing automation Requirements 3+ years of professional experience using ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Desktop in a production environment (utilities, government, environmental consulting, defense, urban planning, or similar) Strong understanding of spatial analysis methods and cartographic standards Working proficiency with ArcPy scripting and geoprocessing workflows Ability to write clear, well-scoped tasks with unambiguous success criteria You May Be a Good Fit If You've worked in a role where GIS analysis directly informed decisions, in planning, environmental, infrastructure, defense, or similar contexts You care about analytical rigor and can explain why one spatial method is more appropriate than another You're comfortable translating complex geospatial workflows into structured, evaluable tasks You prefer flexible, contract-based engagements over traditional full-time roles How Engagements Work Fully remote, contract-based work Minimum commitment: 10 hours per week Compensation is hourly, aligned with experience and impact, with payments issued through Deel Performance and contribution quality are tracked to support future opportunities
