GIS Specialist Denver, Colorado (Remote) Contract (Potential for Conversion) We are seeking two GIS Specialists to join a leading fiber optic network provider within their OSP Engineering & Operations team. In these roles, you will be responsible for GIS data management, analytics, reporting, and standards across the organization’s growing fiber network footprint. This is a great opportunity for a technically strong GIS professional who also brings deep experience in data management, dashboard development, and business intelligence tooling — and who thrives in a fast-paced infrastructure environment. Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a GIS Specialist or similar role, preferably within telecommunications or a network infrastructure environment. Strong knowledge of GIS systems and platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar). Demonstrated experience with data management practices, including data quality, governance, and standards. Proficiency in dashboard development and reporting tools, with hands-on experience building in Tableau. Experience working within SharePoint and Microsoft Power Automate. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain GIS data integrity across the fiber network, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards. Develop, implement, and enforce GIS data management standards and best practices across the OSP Engineering & Operations team. Perform GIS analytics and spatial analysis to support network planning, operations, and reporting needs. Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau to provide actionable visibility into network data and operational metrics. Leverage SharePoint and Microsoft Power Automate to streamline workflows, reporting processes, and data accessibility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, and operations to support data-driven decision making. Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and GIS system utilization. Perform other duties as required to support broader OSP Engineering & Operations objectives.
