Job Description
OverviewSupports daily golf course operations by providing excellent customer service, managing tee time reservations, processing transactions, and assisting with golf shop activities.Staff members are trained to perform a variety of operational tasks to ensure patrons have a positive experience at Chickasaw Golf Course ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following.Other duties may be assigned Operational Excellence Provide exemplary customer service to all guests.Greet guests upon arrival and thank them upon departure.Register, reserve, modify, and cancel tee times.Sell greens fees, cart rentals, merchandise, and practice range balls Promote and explain available golf memberships and their benefits.Follow Chickasaw Golf Course cash control policies and procedures.Communicate raincheck, return, and refund policies clearly and professionally.Answer phone calls and respond to questions, concerns, and comments.Prepare and serve light food and beverages Keep the clubhouse, patio, and restrooms clean and organized Assist with golf shop operations including stocking, cleaning, and merchandising.Remove trash, clean and wash golf carts when needed.Support the Manager on Duty with operational needs as assigned.Maintain a clean, organized front desk and golf shop environment.Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and hazards immediately to a supervisor Attend required training Work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Education/Experience Must be at least 18 years of age.Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver's License.Availability to work weekends and holidays.Flexible schedule, including shifts as early as 5:30 a.m.and as late as 8:00 p.m.Basic knowledge of golf course operations and golf rules/regulations preferred.Critical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the Essential Functions:Include but are not limited to the following:Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately Ability to follow policies and procedures, including cash control requirements Ability to maintain professionalism when responding to customer issues or concerns Ability to learn and utilize tee time reservation systems and point-of-sale software Attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized workspace Ability to promote memberships and explain services confidently Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to monitor conditions and report safety concerns promptly demeanor.Comfortable using computers and able to learn new software systems.Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adjust to changing tasks.Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with the public.Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Positive attitude and professional demeanor.Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the Essential Functions:Light - Medium work:Exerting in excess of 15 pounds of force frequently Exerting in excess of 30 pounds of force occasionally Exerting in excess of 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Standing, walking, bending, lifting, stretching, squatting, pushing, pulling, and climbing Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the Essential Functions:Exposure to outdoor conditions including heat, cold, and varying weather elements.Supports daily golf course operations by providing excellent customer service, managing tee time reservations, processing transactions, and assisting with golf shop activities.Staff members are trained to perform a variety of operational tasks to ensure patrons have a positive experience at Rockford Park District golf facilities.Job Types:Part-time, Seasonal Pay:$13.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours:15 - 25 per week Benefits:Flexible schedule Work Location:In person.
