About Contentment Contentment is a private, 18-hole golf facility that is currently under construction in Hays, North Carolina.The beautiful 900-acre property is set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and possesses stunning views and a rustic feel in a family-oriented setting.While the project has been planned for many years, construction only recently began last October.As construction continues with a planned opening date in April 2026, we are seeking Greenskeepers to help build our Grounds Department staff.Greenskeepers will be heavily involved and an integral part of the construction, planting, grow-in and maintenance of the golf course as we prepare to open our doors.Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Care and maintenance of all turf surfaces, landscaping, trees, bunkers, and associated areas Planting, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, and cultural practices required for high-quality turfgrass Operation of ride-on, walk-behind, and hand operated turf and construction equipment Assist in the installation of irrigation and drainage system installation Assist in building the team culture of our Grounds Department to create a safe, fun, and fast-paced atmosphere Requirements Interested candidates will need to possess the following:Reliable Positive attitude and a willingness to learn Experience in landscaping and golf course maintenance is a bonus, but not required Ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions-heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.Ability to work independently or as part of a group, in a team-focused atmosphere Scheduling While the workload will be substantial for our team, flexible scheduling is available.Most schedules can be accommodated, whether your availability is full-time, year-round or just a few days per week in the summer.Job Types:Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal Pay:$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Benefits:Employee discount Flexible schedule Schedule:10 hour shift 4 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Morning shift Weekends as needed Weekends only Year round work People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location:In person.
