Job Description
Overview Seeking a skilled equipment operator / grading crew member to join our team. The ideal candidate is experienced in small commercial site development and can operate a variety of small to large heavy equipment while also understanding grade control and jobsite efficiency. This role requires someone who is comfortable with a smaller company environment where flexibility, initiative and extreme attention to detail matter. Duties Operate skid steers, mini excavators, full size excavators, dozers, rollers, and other grading equipment safely and efficiently Perform rough and fine grading for commercial projects Read and work from curb/grade stakes, string lines, laser levels Check and maintain proper grade throughout the various stages of a project Assist with clearing, excavation, drainage installation, rough grading, backfilling, fine grading, general site prep Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as graders, dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators and various types of heavy equipment Knowledge of commercial site development and grading operations Ability to check grade using: curb stakes, string line and laser level Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and teamwork in active environments.
