Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grading Foreman to lead and oversee grading operations on construction sites. This pivotal role involves managing grading crews, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. As a key member of the construction management team, you will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver precise grading work that aligns with project specifications and schedules. Your expertise will help drive project success from start to finish, fostering a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment. Responsibilities Supervise grading crews, providing clear direction and ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications Coordinate daily work schedules, resource allocation, and equipment usage to optimize productivity on-site Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute grading activities accurately Conduct quality control inspections to verify that grading meets design standards and contractual requirements Maintain detailed records of work progress, safety incidents, and equipment maintenance using construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam Collaborate with project managers on scheduling using Primavera P6 or Primavera for timely project delivery Enforce OSHA safety regulations and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols at all times Requirements Proven supervising experience in heavy civil construction projects with a focus on grading or earthworks Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other construction site tools Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately Familiarity with construction estimating, budgeting processes, and contract management Hands-on experience with construction site activities such as pipeline installation or large-scale earthmoving projects Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety compliance Skilled in the use of technical tools such as ohmmeters for quality control testing when necessary Excellent management skills with a focus on team supervision, coordination, and problem-solving Join us in leading impactful grading projects that shape the future of infrastructure!
