It takes a village. , About Us Our Safe Space is a100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing free online workshops, book clubs, and community programs focused on personal growth, connection, and resilience. We serve a growing community of 700+ members and are passionate about creating inclusive, supportive spaces—especially for women and LGBTQ+ individuals. The Opportunity We’re looking for a volunteer Grant Writer who can help us clearly communicate our impact and secure funding to expand our FREE programs. We are not starting from scratch—we have strong program ideas, clear budgets, and real community impact. We need someone who can help translate that into compelling grant proposals. What You’ll Do Write and edit grant proposals based on existing program ideas Collaborate with our team to gather needed information Tailor messaging to align with funder priorities Help refine and strengthen our overall grant narrative Assist with light reporting or follow-up if desired What We’re Looking For We are especially interested in someone who Has experience writing successful grant proposals (nonprofit or academic) Can take initiative and work independently Enjoys storytelling and making ideas compelling on paper Is comfortable working with a small, 100% volunteer-led organization Communicates clearly and reliably Time Commitment Flexible, project-based Approximately 2-3 hours a month depending on active grants Why This Matters Your work will directly support free programming that helps individuals build confidence, connection, and resilience in their everyday lives.
