JOB WE ARE HIRING! Join our team and become our new full-time GRANTS AND POLICY ADMINISTRATOR in the General Government department. Reporting directly to the Deputy Village Manager, this position leads village-wide grant and policy initiatives, including grant identification, writing, administration, and the coordination of grant management activities across all departments. The role also oversees the development, evaluation, and implementation of Village policies to advance strategic goals through fact-based policy development and effective utilization of grant funding. Some info about the position…Researches, identifies, and assesses available grant opportunities; prepares and submits grant proposals in accordance with granting agency requirements.Develops and maintains databases and systems for tracking grant proposals, awards, and related statistical information; provides advice and guidance to departments on grant funding policies and procedures.Monitors and coordinates grant administration to ensure compliance with grant agency requirements; serves as the Village liaison with grant agencies.Conducts research and policy analysis to support the development and implementation of Village priorities; develops policy proposals and recommendations.Designs metrics and Key Performance Indicators to track the success of implemented policies; collaborates with department heads to audit existing programs for efficiency.Prepares reports summarizing policy outcomes and recommending adjustments; develops and maintains a grant strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.Qualified candidates should…Hold a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, public policy, or a closely related field.Have three to five years of progressively responsible experience in grant management, policy development, or public administration; preferably in a municipal or public-sector setting.Possess knowledge of Federal and State grant regulations, audit requirements, and grant principles and procedures.Demonstrate strong analytical, research, and writing skills, with the ability to develop clear policy recommendations and manage multiple projects and deadlines.Have knowledge of public-sector policy development processes, research methods, and performance measurement.Possess a valid Illinois driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one within a specified period.Pay, benefits, and more…Salary range is $76,397 - $106,956 per year (starting salary is typically no higher than the midpoint and is dependent on qualifications). Typical hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.Paid leave.Health insurance.
