Job OverviewJoin our dynamic team as a Greenhouse & General Labor Associate, where you'll play a vital role in supporting planting seedlings, greenhouse operations such as watering and plant care, physical labor, and customer service.Duties Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining plants within greenhouse and outdoor settings Operate irrigation systems (watering) to ensure proper watering schedules for crops and greenery as well as hand watering plants not on irrigation systems Use hand tools and basic mechanical knowledge to perform planting, transplanting, and soil preparation tasks Maintain aesthetic outdoor and greenhouse spaces Identify various plants, weeds, pests, and diseases to support healthy growth and pest management efforts (Not required, but preferred) Perform heavy lifting of soil bags, plants, mulch, and equipment safely and efficiently(Must be able to lift 25-50lbs) Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and supplies in both greenhouse and outdoor environments Assist in customer service when season opens Skills Basic knowledge or ability to plant seedlings with assistance/oversight within a team Independently assist maintenance of plants such as watering or preparing spaces Growing experience or horticulture background preferred but not required; eager learners and college students are welcome! Knowledge of irrigation systems/watering and basic plant care Familiarity with greenhouse operations and plant care practices is preferred Ability to identify common plants (Preferred, not necessary.Must be able to have the ability to learn) Basic customer service skills Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions; physically capable of heavy lifting and outdoor labor Join us if you're enthusiastic about working outdoors, passionate about plants and gardening, and ready to develop your skills in a lively environment dedicated to growth!
