Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Grinder-Machine Operator to join our production team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating industry- heavy machinery, ensuring quality production, and maintaining a safe work environment.This role requires proficiency in operating machinery, as well as the ability to review production processes and an understanding of basic programming tasks.Second shift start time is 2:30 pm Responsibilities Responsible for setting up, programming machines for the proper size and dates, and proficient operation of grinding equipment.Clean packaging machinery / work areas daily - document on checklists, follow Good Manufacturing Practices and general housekeeping guidelines.Report maintenance issues to the supervisor Follow Safety / OSHA processes, procedures, and regulations Contribute to a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with customers, suppliers, and co-workers Assembling and Packing Meats according to specifications Labeling according to ASR specifications Sanitize and maintain all cutleries to specifications Following proper safety procedures, this will include, but is not limited to wearing protective eye wear, protective gloves, slip resistant boots, and a protective lab coat Practices GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety, and OSHA regulations always.Comprehend and adhere to the guidelines, policies, and procedures applicable to the position Check accuracy and quality Perform and comply with internal and regulatory requirements regarding food safety (such as:daily temp /tare log checks).Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Provide high-quality customer service in accordance with our Company's customer service standards Verify set up of machine; verify that the machine has been properly put back together from sanitation crew along with scales and their proper function Ensure that the products are safe and meet the customer specifications Communicate quality issues of raw product or finished goods to the appropriate personnel Follow and complete the daily production schedule, including changes that may occur during the day Responsible to perform the following product quality checks:specification check, packaging check, produce quality check, seal integrity check, code date check Experience Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.Familiarity machine programming is highly desirable.Experience operating forklifts is a plus.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Computer proficiency- input data PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee should possess to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.Basic math concepts; percentages Must be able to work in a cold environment Specific vision includes close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.Continuous physical activity required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for up to and over 8 hours.Talk or hear.May be standing for long periods of the day in the production/processing room.These areas are cold and wet and exposure to moving machinery and sharp surfaces are a regular occurrence Work in a high noise area.Join our team of dedicated professionals where your skills will be valued, and your contributions will make an impact!
