In this energetic role, you'll be the friendly face customers rely on for assistance, ensuring the grocery store runs smoothly and efficiently.Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and satisfied.This paid position offers opportunities to develop your retail skills while contributing to a vibrant community-focused store.Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering questions about products, store policies, or promotions Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for cashiering transactions, including cash handling and processing payments Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly through effective merchandising and stocking techniques Conduct product demos when necessary to educate customers about new or featured items, encouraging upselling opportunities Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting stock counts, and reporting low inventory items Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including aisles, checkout areas, and storage spaces Demonstrate strong communication skills by collaborating with team members and providing clear information to customers Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team tasks or overseeing customer service standards Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, lifting moderate weights, and standing for extended periods Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to handle inquiries professionally Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies is advantageous Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude and proactive approach Join us as a Grocery Clerk and help create an inviting shopping environment where every customer leaves satisfied!
