Job Summary Join our vibrant pet care team as a Grooming Salon Coordinator, where you'll be the heartbeat of our grooming operations! In this energetic role, you'll oversee the scheduling, coordination, and delivery of pet grooming services, ensuring every furry client receives top-notch care in a friendly and professional environment. Your passion for animals and exceptional customer service skills will help create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while developing your skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and client relations. Duties Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate grooming services to optimize salon flow and customer satisfaction Greet clients warmly, answer questions, and provide expert guidance on grooming options and pet care needs Assist groomers with animal handling, restraint, and preparation to ensure safe and efficient grooming sessions Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including equipment sterilization and supply management Support pet owners with advice on pet grooming routines and basic animal care tips Monitor animal behavior during grooming to ensure safety for pets and staff, intervening when necessary with animal restraint techniques Handle heavy lifting of supplies or equipment as needed to support smooth salon operations Requirements Prior experience with animal handling, pet grooming, or kennel work is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training, veterinary procedures, or veterinary technician experience is a plus Strong understanding of animal restraint techniques and pet care best practices Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks throughout the day Experience working with animals such as dogs or horses, including veterinary assistant or kennel experience is desirable Passion for animals combined with a proactive attitude to ensure safety and comfort for every pet in our care Join us in creating a lively environment where animals are cared for with compassion while providing outstanding service to pet owners.
