Spend the summer working outdoors on a beautiful mountain campus.Rockbrook Camp is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our grounds and maintenance team.This is hands-on work supporting a vibrant summer community and helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for campers and staff.Responsibilities Operate landscaping and groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers) Maintain camp grounds, including lawns, paths, and common areas Collect trash and transport it to designated disposal areas Assist with minor repairs to cabins, buildings, and outdoor structures Move equipment and supplies across camp as needed Fill and deliver water coolers to activity areas Support camp operations and special events as requested Qualifications Groundskeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance experience preferred, but not required Familiarity with lawn care equipment and basic safety procedures Ability to use hand and power tools safely Strong work ethic and attention to detail Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team Must be at least 16 years old Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.regularly Ability to walk 3-4 miles per day across varied terrain Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, carrying, climbing, bending) Ability to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions Schedule & Work Environment Full-time seasonal position (summer) Typical schedule is daytime hours, with occasional weekend or event support Work takes place outdoors across a wooded, mountainous campus Camp Community Grounds Crew members are part of the broader Rockbrook community.While the role focuses on maintenance work, staff are expected to contribute to a positive, respectful environment and serve as good role models for campers.About Rockbrook Camp Rockbrook is a traditional overnight summer camp for girls located in the mountains of western North Carolina, just outside Brevard.Established in 1921, Rockbrook offers a wide range of activities including horseback riding, outdoor adventure, whitewater rafting, ceramics, crafts, and more.Girls ages 6-16 attend in 2-, 3-, and 4-week sessions.Rockbrook is accredited by the American Camp Association.Pay:$14.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits:Flexible schedule Work Location:In person.
