Basic Overview:Perform a variety of manual labor in the maintenance and improvement of various parks and landscaped areas; and performs related work as required.Schedule: Hours:Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:Performs a variety of manual tasks of maintenance and repair of parks/cemetery and downtown area including mowing, weed eating, tilling, leveling ball fields, trimming and planting trees and other plants.Assist in repairing irrigation systems.Pick up trash and clean bathrooms.Emptying trash containers.Pick up accumulated leaves in public places and reporting safety hazards.Operate various light equipment including mowers, tiller, pickup truck, chainsaw and other equipment as needed used in the landscaping, maintenance, and improvement of landscaped properties.Maintain and make minor repair to assigned vehicles, tools and equipment; report major repair needs.Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
