Groundskeeper

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented member to join our estate team.In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the property manager and groundskeeper.This role supports the daily care, presentation, and seasonal needs of buildings, lawns, gardens, paths, and landscape features of a large private estate.This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your skills with various tools and techniques, and contribute to creating stunning landscapes that inspire and delight.Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, leaf blowing, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor areas pristine and well-manicured Assist with landscaping projects such as planting new greenery, installing mulch or decorative stones, and constructing garden beds Conduct routine inspections of out buildings to identify areas needing attention or repair Support general maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance Maintain lawns and landscaped areas through mowing, trimming, edging, dethatching, and seasonal cleanup.Perform routine garden tasks like planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, and watering.Operate and maintain mechanical lawn and grounds equipment--mowers, trimmers, chain saws, small tractors--safely and skillfully.Monitor for property issues and communicate observations.Support seasonal projects including building and pool opening and closing, plowing, leaf blowing, seasonal furniture set up and break down, and assist with general property upkeep Qualifications Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.Ability to lift 70 pounds.Ability to climb ladders and work confidently and safely on 2nd story and above building exteriors.Knowledge of horticulture principles and best practices in lawn care and landscaping Working knowledge of lawn care machines and motor vehicles.Able to work among varied personalities and lifestyles.A valid drivers license with a clean record.Willingness to work long hours and weekends during high season.Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions Attention to detail with a proactive approach to landscape and building upkeep Effective communication skills for teamwork and client interactions.Job Hours This is a year round, 40hour a week position.The work week runs Monday to Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM.Longer hours and weekends are required for the entire month of August and occasional special events throughout the year.Join our talented team of gardeners, grounds crew and domestic staff, as we maintain and grow beautiful spaces!
