ROLE DESCRIPTION This is a contract, flexible, hybrid/remote role for a Growth Sales Representative based in the Greater Chicago Area - remote flexibility available. In this position, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities for Parker Brown Consulting by identifying companies that may benefit from process improvement, modern technology, AI strategy, automation, systems integration, or custom software solutions. You will focus on businesses that are likely dealing with operational friction, such as manual data entry, spreadsheet-heavy workflows, outdated software, disconnected systems, slow quoting or scheduling, repetitive administrative work, inefficient customer follow-up, or limited visibility across day-to-day operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching target businesses, building prospect lists, performing email, phone, LinkedIn, and local outreach, qualifying leads, booking discovery calls, following up with prospects, helping present Parker Brown Consulting’s services, and maintaining clear notes on pipeline activity and prospect status. You may also help promote Parker Brown Consulting’s Modern Tech Index Assessment as an entry point for businesses to evaluate where outdated systems, manual processes, and operational inefficiencies may be costing them time, money, and momentum. This role is built for someone who is self-motivated, entrepreneurial, organized, and comfortable owning their schedule, pipeline, follow-up, and results. The ideal candidate can speak professionally with business owners, operators, managers, and decision-makers, ask thoughtful questions, identify potential pain points, and create enough interest to move qualified opportunities into the sales pipeline. This is not a technical consulting role. We handle technical and delivery. Your role is to open doors, start meaningful conversations, identify qualified opportunities, and help bring the right clients into the business.
