Miss Autumn’s Dance Class is looking for a warm, reliable, and encouraging dance instructor to teach two summer classes on Fridays: Pre Hip Hop Acro Level 1 & 2 This is a short-term summer teaching opportunity for our August session, with the possibility of continuing into our fall season if it is a good fit. Our summer classes run for two weeks, August 10 through August 21 , and these classes will meet on Fridays . We are a family-friendly, performance-based dance studio where children are loved, encouraged, and cared for. Our mission is to provide children with a second home, a dance home, where they belong, feel accepted, and know they are special. We are looking for someone who not only has dance teaching experience, but also truly enjoys working with children and can help create a positive, kind, and structured classroom environment. Responsibilities The instructor will be responsible for teaching two Friday classes during our short summer session. Responsibilities include Teaching age-appropriate hip hop and/or acro classes Creating a positive, encouraging classroom environment Helping students feel safe, successful, and excited to learn Using kind but clear classroom management Arriving prepared and on time Communicating professionally with studio leadership Following studio expectations for music, language, dress, and family-friendly class content Representing the studio with kindness, respect, and professionalism Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who: Has experience teaching children Has experience in hip hop and acro Is warm, dependable, and responsible Enjoys working with young dancers Can lead a class with structure and kindness Uses clean, family-friendly music and movement Understands that dance class is not only about steps, but also about confidence, joy, and belonging Aligns with the studio’s values of trust, dedication, and respect Experience teaching acro safely is especially important for the Acro Level 1 & 2 class. Requirements Dance teaching experience preferred Experience working with children required Hip hop and/or acro teaching experience preferred Must be available on Fridays during the August summer session Must be dependable and punctual Must be willing to complete any required background checks or clearances Schedule This position is for two Friday summer classes during our August summer session. Summer session dates: August 10–21 Classes meet: Fridays Potential for fall teaching opportunities: Yes, if it is a good fit for both the teacher and the studio About Miss Autumn’s Dance Class Miss Autumn’s Dance Class is a classical ballet-based, family-friendly dance studio in Quakertown, PA. We offer ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, contemporary, and more for children ages 18 months through teens, as well as adult classes. We are a performance-based studio and create full-stage productions with original choreography, lighting, sets, and beautiful costumes. More importantly, we are a dance family. Every child who walks through our doors is precious, loved, and welcomed. We are looking for someone who will help us continue creating a place where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to dance.
