Vera Guitars – Charlotte, NC Vera Guitars is a growing, player-focused guitar shop in Charlotte, NC, specializing in premium guitars, professional repair work, and high-level customer service. As a Top 100 Dealer, we work with some of the industry’s biggest brands and take pride in providing an exceptional in-store experience for musicians of all levels. We’re looking for an experienced Guitar Repair & Plek Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about guitars, precision setup work, and helping players get the absolute best out of their instruments. Responsibilities Perform professional guitar setups on electric and acoustic guitars Fret leveling, crowning, polishing, and nut work Diagnose and repair playability and electronic issues Perform restringing, intonation adjustments, pickup installs, and hardware upgrades Work with our Plek system for precision fretwork and setups Communicate repair recommendations clearly with customers and staff Maintain repair quality standards and turnaround times Assist with incoming inventory inspections and showroom prep when needed Qualifications Prior experience working as a guitar technician or repair tech Strong understanding of guitar setup and repair procedures Experience with fretwork, electronics, and diagnostics Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Ability to work independently and efficiently Strong communication and customer service skills Experience with Plek machines is a plus, but not required What We Offer Opportunity to work in a respected, growing guitar shop Access to premium guitars, gear, and new releases Hands-on experience with professional repair equipment and Plek technology Supportive, musician-focused work environment About Vera Guitars Vera Guitars is more than a music store — we’re a destination for players looking for premium instruments, expert service, and a welcoming community.
