Compulsory Team Program Leader (Levels 3-5) - Part-Time (MSGA) About the Role MSGA is seeking a knowledgeable, organized, and driven Compulsory Team Program Leader to lead our Levels 3-5 competitive team program.This leadership role is responsible for developing athletes, managing staff, and ensuring a structured, high-performance environment that prepares gymnasts for progression into the Optional Program.The Compulsory Team Program Leader plays a critical role in supporting the overall success of the facility by developing technically sound athletes, fostering a strong team culture, and delivering a consistent, high-quality competitive experience.What You'll Be Responsible For Program Leadership & Athlete Development Develop and oversee a high-quality compulsory program (Levels 3-5) focused on long-term athlete development Ensure athletes are technically prepared and competition-ready, with clear progression pathways into Optional levels Collaborate with Pre-Team and DP Program Leaders to ensure smooth athlete transitions and alignment across programs Make final decisions on athlete placement based on skill, ability, and readiness Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop all Compulsory Team coaches Clearly communicate expectations around coaching standards, professionalism, and conduct Conduct regular Employee Development Meetings (EDMs) with staff Address performance concerns and collaborate with Gym Management on disciplinary actions when needed Participate in quarterly staff meetings with leadership across team programs Program Operations Develop and implement monthly lesson plans for Levels 3-5 based on athlete needs and competition outcomes Ensure all staff follow and contribute to lesson planning and program execution Collaborate with Gym Management to build seasonal rotation schedules (Fall & Summer) Ensure athletes receive balanced training across all events each week Maintain structured, efficient, and developmentally appropriate training environments Communication & Family Experience Serve as the primary point of contact for Compulsory Team families Maintain organized and up-to-date team communication systems (email groups, contact lists, etc.) Respond to family communication in a timely and professional manner Communicate concerns, issues, or discrepancies to Gym Management Lead the season-opening parent meeting and support ongoing family engagement Competitions & Events Attend all assigned competitions throughout the season Ensure proper staffing coverage and adherence to competition scheduling expectations Support and help execute team events, including:Holiday Party Team Banquet Themed Events & Celebrations Hosted Competitions Track athlete achievements for end-of-season recognition and awards Team Development & Administration Collaborate annually to update the Compulsory & DP Team Handbook Assist in organizing and running team trials and athlete evaluations Manage outside athlete inquiries and coordinate trial opportunities Encourage consistent use of the Team Calendar for communication and scheduling Maintain an active coaching presence during summer training periods What We're Looking For Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience coaching competitive gymnastics, particularly Levels 3-5 Ability to develop athletes through structured progressions and skill development Experience managing staff and maintaining accountability Strong understanding of competition preparation and expectations Professional, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset Passion for athlete development and team culture Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a Team Leader or Head Coach in a competitive program USAG certifications and strong knowledge of compulsory routines and requirements Experience building long-term athlete development systems Strong ability to communicate with families regarding progression and expectations Experience running or supporting competitions and team events Position Expectations & Performance Standards Attend all required competitions and team events Maintain consistent coaching presence, especially during summer training Adhere to all company policies regarding time off and scheduling Ensure proper communication, organization, and program execution at all times Maintain alignment with company strategy and program objectives Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and athlete development Why Join MSGA?
