Job Overview Join our vibrant salon team as a Hair Stylist Assistant, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming environment for clients and support our talented stylists.This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop foundational skills in hair styling, customer service, and salon operations.As a key team member, you'll assist with daily salon functions, learn the latest techniques in hair extensions, color theory, and eyelash extensions, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic beauty setting.Your proactive attitude and passion for beauty will contribute to delivering exceptional client experiences and fostering a positive atmosphere.Responsibilities Support senior stylists with preparing clients for services such as hair styling, coloring, and treatments Assist with maintaining salon cleanliness, sanitation standards, and proper tool sterilization Help manage front desk duties including appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY, greeting clients warmly and checking them in Learn to perform basic services such as hair threading, nail care, and makeup application under supervision Promote retail sales by upselling hair products, retail math skills, and other beauty items like eyelash extensions or nail care products Assist with store management tasks including inventory organization and stock replenishment Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit Qualifications Cosmetology or barbering license or currently enrolled in a recognized program Strong communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members Basic knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY or similar platforms Familiarity with hair extensions, color theory, sanitation practices, and retail sales techniques is preferred Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to salon work Willingness to learn new skills including eyelash extensions, hair styling techniques, and store management procedures Passion for the beauty industry with a positive attitude and eagerness to grow professionally This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to build a career in the beauty industry while supporting a team dedicated to excellence.We prioritize paid positions that foster growth, skill development, and client satisfaction in a lively and supportive environment.Pay:$23.50 - $28.30 per hour Work Location:In person.
