Responsibilities Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles with enthusiasm and precision. Perform hair coloring treatments utilizing color theory principles to achieve desired results safely and effectively. Apply hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading techniques to enhance client looks. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with salon health regulations. Use salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales processing. Offer expert advice on hair care products, retail items, and upselling opportunities to maximize client satisfaction and salon revenue. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and supporting store management when needed. Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, barbering, makeup application. Stay current on industry trends related to hair styling, coloring techniques, and new treatments to provide innovative services. Foster excellent communication skills with clients to understand their needs and ensure a positive experience from start to finish. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; additional certifications in makeup application are a plus. Proven experience in hair styling, coloring (including color theory), and advanced techniques such as straight razor shaving or hair threading. Familiarity with salon software like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a clean work environment. Ability to perform retail math calculations for upselling products effectively. Experience in store management or mentoring team members is advantageous but not mandatory.
