Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Handyman Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this energetic role, you will support skilled technicians in performing a wide range of repair, installation, and maintenance tasks across residential and commercial properties. Your enthusiasm for hands-on work, combined with your mechanical knowledge and technical skills, will contribute to maintaining safe, functional, and well-maintained environments. Duties Assist with general repairs and maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, assembly, and painting projects Support skilled technicians in troubleshooting issues using schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment and structures Use tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to diagnose electrical problems accurately Help with facilities maintenance activities including cleaning, organizing tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed Contribute to residential painting projects by preparing surfaces, applying paint, and finishing work under supervision Maintain detailed records of work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other documentation tools Requirements Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with familiarity in schematics, electrical systems, and basic troubleshooting techniques Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or manufacturing environments is a plus Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics clearly Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer service interactions Prior experience in facilities maintenance or residential repair projects preferred Supervising experience or leadership capabilities are advantageous for supporting team efforts Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely We value proactive individuals who are eager to learn, lead by example, and deliver outstanding service every day.
