OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to perform light renovation and general maintenance projects for a two-family residential rental property.The ideal candidate will be experienced in a variety of repair, maintenance, and small improvement tasks and able to work independently with efficiency, and attention to detail.This is an as-needed, on-call position.Anticipated workload will not exceed 10 hours per week unless otherwise mutually agreed upon in advance.Weekly hours may vary based on project needs and may occasionally be minimal or not required.Responsibilities Familiarity with basic carpentry, drywall, painting, fixture installation, minor plumbing, and minor electrical tasks Experience in residential maintenance and light renovation work Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as painting, flooring repairs, and fixture replacements/installments Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with home systems and appliances Respond promptly to repair requests Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes Compliance with all applicable state and local licensing requirements (including any contractor registration required by the City of Lakewood or Jefferson County) Proof of general liability insurance (certificate of insurance required) Document completed work Assist with project planning and material procurement as needed Skills Proven experience as a Handyman or in similar maintenance roles Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general repairs Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Adequate physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication skills Valid driver's license is preferred for travel This position requires a background and reference check.As part of our standard process for contractors working on the property, we require a current Certificate of Insurance showing active general liability coverage.Pay:$50.00 - $80.00 per hour Application Question(s):Do you have proof of personal liability insurance?
