Responsibilities Install hardscape elements such as pavers, retaining walls, patios, and walkways with precision and craftsmanship. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install materials. Prepare surfaces by grading, leveling, and compacting soil or gravel to ensure stable foundations. Coordinate with team members and supervisors to meet project timelines and quality standards. Conduct site inspections during installation to ensure adherence to safety protocols and specifications. Assist with concrete forming, masonry work, and finishing techniques like stamping or sealing when needed. Skills Ability to properly read a tape measure, level, square and other carpentry measurement tools Proficiency schematics interpretation, and construction estimating. Experience with heavy equipment operation such as skid steers or mini excavators is a plus. Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) for precise installation. Knowledge of construction management practices and construction site safety procedures. Familiarity with materials like concrete, brick, stone, stucco, and glass for various hardscape applications. Ability to perform concrete finishing, masonry work, caulking, trim carpentry, and tile laying as needed.
