Job Summary for Yard Associate : Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our organization ensuring that lumber and landscape products are handled, stored, and shipped safely and effectively to our customers. This position requires: attention to detail, the ability to operate forklifts and wheel loader on regular bases during the shift, and the ability to communicate with customers. If you have not driven a forklift or wheel loader before, do not worry, we are happy to train the right candidate. Training is a big part of who we are, well trained people make sure we always have a great and inviting place to work and shop. Responsibilities Safely handle and move lumber and landscape products within the warehouse and yard using appropriate equipment. Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Operate equipment such as Forklift and Wheel Loader. Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking purposes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency. Assist in materials handling tasks to support warehouse operations. Execute the operational day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management. Move with a sense of urgency while paying attention to the details . Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the warehouse supervisor. Build order with attention to have it ready for the costumer. Be able to communicate with management to follow and execute the tasks needed. Be able to self awareness to keep the place safe and well maintained. Qualifications Willingness to work weekends. Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 75 pounds. Detail oriented, with exceptional multi-tasking skills and logical thought process. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Ability to Assemble and Build orders and products as required.
