Volunteer Responsibilities Volunteer opportunities may include: Providing companionship to patients through conversation, games, reading, or simply offering a comforting presence Sending thoughtful cards and letters of encouragement Conducting friendly check-in calls to patients and family members Supporting bereaved families through mailings, phone calls, and grief support visits Assisting with additional volunteer activities based on individual interests and organizational needs Position Type This is an unpaid volunteer position. Qualifications Qualified volunteers should possess: Availability and skills relevant to the selected volunteer activities The ability to maintain strict confidentiality The ability to work independently while following direction appropriately Strong interpersonal and empathetic listening skills Emotional maturity and the ability to compassionately support individuals experiencing hardship and loss Time Commitment Volunteer scheduling is flexible and designed to accommodate individual availability.
