Your Key Responsibilities Provide environmental compliance and hazardous waste handling services as directed IAW Air Force Instruction, local HW Management Plan, and federal and state regulations Pick-up, delivery, and transportation of Heavy Hazardous Waste Drums to/from designated sites in all weather conditions Use a drum dolly to move containerized waste Operate a forklift, gasoline powered pump, pressure washer, and flatbed pickup Conduct both visual and documented inspections of all containers at Waste Facility Take samples of waste for chemical analysis Conduct inventories and audits Other duties as assigned by Supervisor Essential Job Requirements: Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and other credentials, as required. High School Diploma required The ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and clients. Must pass a medical fitness exam and respirator fit test. Must be able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 75 lbs. and stand for up to 2 hours at a time. Ability to don and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Basic understanding of hazardous materials and SDS (Safety Data Sheets). Must have or be able to obtain a commercial driver’s license w/ H class endorsement. Computer skills, to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Forklift experience desirable; must pass forklift operator skills evaluation Additional Preferred Skills: Experience with Enterprise Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Management Information System – Hazardous Waste Module (EESOH-MIS HW) Experience in management and handling of hazardous waste Knowledge of RCRA, OSHA, and DOT regulations Ability to analyze and interpret basic chemical analysis results and QC 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certificate Experience working at military installations and industrial operations Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) w/ H class endorsement Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
