Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bicycle Mechanic to lead our bike repair and maintenance volunteer team. Duties Lead and supervise the bicycle repair team, providing guidance and training on mechanical procedures and customer service standards Perform complex bicycle repairs including suspension servicing, brake repairs, wheel truing, drivetrain adjustments, and assembly of new bikes Conduct thorough vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safety and optimal performance Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently Manage inventory of bicycles, parts, tools, and supplies necessary for daily operations Assist customers with bike repairs, maintenance advice, and product recommendations to enhance their cycling experience Oversee safety protocols in the workshop, ensuring a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment Skills Proven experience as a bicycle service technician or mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge Expertise in suspension systems, brake repair, wheel building, and general bike assembly Familiarity with retail sales processes and customer service excellence in a retail environment Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized cycling equipment confidently Knowledge of vehicle maintenance principles specific to bicycles including drivetrain tuning and component replacement Strong retail math skills for managing parts inventory and sales transactions Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform maintenance tasks requiring manual dexterity Join us as a Bicycle Mechanic to lead with energy, precision, and passion for cycling!
