Job Title: Head Cross Country Coach Hiring Salary: $20,000.00 (Temporary Flat Rate Salary Part-time Position) Institution: Walters State Community College - Morristown Campus ( Employees are assigned to a "home" location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.) Job Purpose: The purpose of this position is to provide strategic leadership, direction, and comprehensive oversight for the Walters State men's and women's cross country and track club programs. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of program operations and student-athlete development, including but not limited to recruitment and retention of student-athletes, practice planning and implementation, meet preparation and supervision, performance data collection and analysis, academic progress monitoring, team travel coordination for away competitions, compliance with institutional policies and procedures, and the execution of all administrative responsibilities associated with serving as head coach. Essential Job Functions: Provide comprehensive leadership for student-athlete development by planning, organizing, and supervising practices; preparing for and managing competitions; fostering skill development and athletic performance; monitoring academic progress and eligibility; promoting knowledge of injury prevention, wellness, and appropriate treatment protocols; and maintaining accurate performance statistics, training data, and program records.
