The successful candidate will be a strategic and community-centered educational leader, with a strong commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes. This senior leadership role is pivotal in ensuring that students receive a rigorous, college-preparatory academic experience while also excelling in their snow sport training. The Head of Academics and Student Life will be responsible for upholding high academic standards, particularly in Advanced Placement coursework, and for fostering a student-first culture that values intellectual growth, character development, and personal well-being. Key responsibilities for the role include providing clear academic vision and leadership, overseeing academic programming, and ensuring the success of students through a focus on academics, wellness, and a healthy community culture. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in education or a related field, with a background in academic leadership, and experience in overseeing AP programs and working with middle school populations. They should be passionate about snow sports, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be adept at building partnerships with families. The role also involves winter term leadership, student support and academic monitoring, and faculty leadership, requiring a leader who is both strategic and relational, and who can effectively balance the demands of the role with a deep commitment to the mission of the Academy.
