Head of Detailing DepartmentJefferson, WI1st Shift$40-$60/hr Bonus We're partnering with a well-established metal building manufacturer that's looking for a strong technical leader to take ownership of their detailing department.This is a hands-on leadership role -- you won't just manage people, you'll set the standard for how detailing gets done.What You'll Actually Be Doing You'll oversee all detailing for pre-engineered metal building projects, making sure drawings are accurate, buildable, and aligned with engineering specs.You'll review and approve structural details, troubleshoot complex steel connection issues, and work closely with engineering, project management, and production to keep projects moving.You'll also mentor and develop a team of detailers -- tightening up processes, improving standards, and holding the line on quality.If something leaves the department, your name is on it.This is a collaborative shop environment where detailing directly impacts fabrication and field success.Accuracy matters.Efficiency matters.Leadership matters.What They Need (Must-Haves) Extensive experience detailing and reviewing pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) Strong background in structural steel buildings, including connections and fabrication practices Experience leading or overseeing a detailing team (formal title or not -- but real leadership responsibility) Proficiency with detailing software such as Tekla, SDS/2, or similar, plus AutoCAD Ability to interpret engineering documents and catch issues before they hit production If your background is primarily residential drafting or light commercial without structural steel -- this won't be the right fit.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$40.00 - $60.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
