Head of Field Applications Engineering About the Company Globally renowned provider of building materials Industry Building Materials Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Field Applications Engineer with a focus on tundish and ingot casting applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with steel producers to provide technical solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality. This role involves being the primary technical contact for customers, conducting on-site trials, and collaborating with various teams to introduce and support new technologies. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on, customer-facing approach, and a strong background in materials science, metallurgy, or ceramics engineering, with 3-7 years of experience in steelmaking, refractory, or casting applications. Key responsibilities for the Field Applications Engineer include troubleshooting, optimization, and solution design for tundish and ingot-related applications, as well as providing technical training and support to strengthen product knowledge. The role also requires the collection and analysis of data to drive continuous improvement and the monitoring of market trends to guide product development. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline is required, along with a strong technical foundation in steelmaking processes and excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
