JobID: 52360 Head of Finance Industry Requirement: Prior manufacturing experience is required Location: Chicago, IL or Saint Charles, IL Onsite: 5 days per week Experience Required: 10+ years Compensation: $150-225K base + up to 80% bonus + equity incentives Overview A privately held investment organization with operations across multiple states is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee portfolio-level accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance. The group acquires and manages small to mid-sized industrial and manufacturing businesses and is looking for a hands-on finance leader to partner closely with senior leadership while managing day-to-day financial operations across several entities. Key Responsibilities Lead finance and accounting activities across multiple operating companies Oversee month-end close, reporting packages, budgeting, and forecasting Manage treasury, cash flow, and working capital Supervise a team of accountants and shared services personnel Support operating leaders with financial analysis and planning Oversee HR administration through a PEO, including payroll and benefits coordination Serve as internal lead for ERP oversight, optimization, and system administration Drive improvements in reporting accuracy, financial visibility, and operational efficiency Manage audit preparation and external reporting requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Manufacturing industry experience is required CPA strongly preferred Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication
