About the Role As Head of Policy, United States, you will lead Nscale's engagement with the US policy ecosystem at a moment when AI infrastructure, compute, energy, and national competitiveness are central to public policy. Based in Washington, DC, you will shape Nscale's US policy strategy, build senior relationships across government and the broader policy community, and ensure the company is positioned as a credible, constructive voice in debates shaping the future of AI and cloud infrastructure. You will play a crucial role as we continue to expand our US footprint. This is a senior, highly autonomous role requiring strong judgement, executive presence, and the ability to operate effectively at the intersection of policy, geopolitics, and commercial strategy. You will work closely with Nscale's global leadership team and serve as the company's primary policy representative in the United States. What You'll be Doing US Policy Strategy & Positioning Develop and execute Nscale's US policy strategy across AI, cloud infrastructure, compute, energy, national security, and technology competitiveness. Translate legislative, regulatory, and executive-branch developments into clear risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership. Shape Nscale's policy positions, narratives, and engagement priorities in alignment with business objectives and long-term growth in the US market. Draft and oversee high-quality policy outputs, including briefings, talking points, comment letters, position papers, and congressional materials. Government & Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain senior relationships across Congress, the Executive Branch, federal agencies, the White House ecosystem, and relevant state-level actors. Represent Nscale with credibility and authority in meetings, hearings, roundtables, industry forums, and public-private initiatives. Engage with think tanks, trade associations, industry coalitions, and civil society to shape consensus around AI infrastructure policy. Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and coalitions that advance Nscale's policy objectives and commercial interests. Executive Advisory & Internal Alignment Serve as a trusted advisor to Nscale's senior leadership on US political dynamics, regulatory risk, and geopolitical considerations. Partner closely with commercial, legal, security and technical teams to ensure consistent and effective policy engagement. Align US policy activity with global policy strategy, ensuring coherence across jurisdictions. Monitoring, Foresight & Execution Track and anticipate US policy developments related to AI, cloud, semiconductors, infrastructure security, energy, export controls, and industrial policy. Operate effectively in a fast-moving, often ambiguous policy environment, balancing long-term strategy with near-term execution. Provide clear, timely insight on emerging issues and inflection points affecting AI infrastructure deployment in the US. About You 10+ years' experience in public policy, government, public affairs, or regulatory roles, ideally within technology, AI, cloud, infrastructure, or national security-adjacent domains. Deep understanding of the US policy-making ecosystem, with experience engaging Congress, federal agencies, or senior Executive Branch stakeholders. Proven ability to build and sustain senior, trusted relationships across government and the policy community. Strong executive presence, with experience advising or working closely with C-suite or senior leadership. Demonstrated ability to operate in highly regulated, geopolitically sensitive environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including producing executive-level policy materials. Strong grasp of AI infrastructure, compute, cloud, or related technologies — or the policy frameworks shaping their deployment and competitiveness.
