What you will be doing: Secure, book and execute weddings and events Create proposals for new clients with high end designs to push the Boulder Blooms design style Walk through the proposed designs and sell clients on innovative designs Maintain communication with clients throughout booking and once they book Support the client’s needs throughout the process Prompt communication to schedule meetings, answer questions and update their proposals as needed Balance the clients needs while providing recommendations to ensure the quality and design style will be in line with the brand Respond to any upset customers with kindness and patience, providing a sufficient remedy for the customer, as needed Manage wedding team directly Support the success of the team through clear communication and expectations of each team member Delegate tasks appropriately to team members Monitor the performance of each individual team member Conduct regular performance check-ins / reviews Work interdepartmentally with managers to ensure the success of Boulder Blooms Communicate staffing needs, coordinate employees to prioritize daily efficiency Support and balance the needs of weddings with shop needs Whenever one department is busy, each department needs to support the success by assisting with design or tasks needed Oversee wedding/ event day-of logistics and planning Coordinate staffing for each event booked Secure freelance designers for high-volume weekends Direct wedding production for all weddings and events for Boulder Blooms Lead the design team each week to efficiently design and produce all items for weddings/ events Monitor quality of all designs for Boulder Blooms weddings and events Set the tone for Boulder Blooms weddings by maintaining brand standards and staying ahead of trends in the wedding industry Communicate with Marketing team/ customer service what designs we want to highlight in our marketing and communications Plan and execute strategic styled shoots annually or as needed to highlight unique and cutting edge wedding designs to attract future clients Assist with taking photos of all wedding designs and cataloging them for marketing purposes Promote Boulder Blooms weddings and events Create and maintain strategic vendor relationships Oversee and purchasing product and hard for weddings and events Ensure all wedding/ event orders are within budget Maintain Boulder Blooms brand standards of using unique, locally grown product whenever possible Monitor and manage the hard goods inventory as needed; order new vessels, candles, ribbon and other necessary items to execute weddings/ events Coordinate ordering with the Shop Manager to ensure overall ordering is efficient Oversee administrative tasks for wedding and events including: printing an preparing proposals, conducting 45-day checkins (solidifying quantities and color palette details), week-of checkins (email to confirm final logistics and ribbon selection), and post event follow-up Appropriately respond to and divide all wedding and event inquiries based on company staff and guidelines Manage the wedding calendar to ensure the success of the season by booking weekends appropriately. The goal is to book a volume that will ensure we can produce quality weddings events without stretching staffing too thin Manage, track, and account for all proposal payments Schedule: This is a full-time job that will regularly require working on weekends (especially Saturdays) Must be available weekends during wedding season (May - October) Must be available for Valentine's Day and Mother's Day (including the week leading up to each holiday) Traits you possess: An appreciation and eye for a high-end floral design Deep comprehension of all aspects of floral design Understanding of seasonality of flowers Visual storytelling through flowers Ability to interpret aesthetics into flowers Fl
