Description Position Title: Head Varsity Golf Coach Full-time/Part-time: Part-time Classification: Exempt Pay Range: $5,000-$7,000 (based on experience) Reports to: Athletic Director Supervises: Assistant Golf Coach About Presentation High School: Presentation High School is an independent Catholic college preparatory school for young women. Position Summary Head Varsity Golf Coach, for the season beginning August 5, 2026, and ending around November 5, 2026. This position will be responsible for running the Golf program at Presentation, which consists of the varsity team. Duties and Specific Responsibilities Schedule contests, scrimmages, and practices for the program Teach and enhance fundamental skills and techniques, as well as advanced techniques in the sport. Attend all team practices and games (mostly Mon-Thu afternoons) Coordinate management of all events for all levels with the Athletic Department Attend Athletic meetings as required, including Coaches meetings and season parent meetings Participate in all regional and sectional playoffs to which the team is entitled Report all game results to Athletic Department Responsible for maintaining appropriate behavior on the part of athletes at practices, contests, and in transit to and from events Abide by all league and CIF-CCS rules and regulations and attend meetings as required Prioritize an environment of safety for our student-athletes and provide first aid when required Manage and maintain program equipment Coordinate season-end awards program Attend school functions related to the promotion of Athletic programs as requested (ie: Open House) Requirements: Education & Experience Experience playing competitive golf preferred Experience teaching golf skills and strategies that apply to the skill level of the players Professional dedication to athletic development and expertise in coaching Knowledge of appropriate safety measures to ensure the well-being of players CPR/First Aid certification CIF - Fundamentals of Coaching Certification required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Total resonance with the mission, vision, and values of Presentation High School and the Catholic education tradition including a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Clear and positive communication to create a healthy and empowering team culture Proven ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship and respect Good role model and demonstrated strong ethics A commitment to the educational philosophy of Presentation High School A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion A willingness to be an active, enthusiastic member of the Presentation community Physical Demands The physical demands described below represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Head Varsity Coach must be able to: Lift and/or carry all sports-specific equipment required to effectively run and organize training and competition Sit, stand, walk, climb stairs or ladder, reach, perform repetitive movements Work with frequent interruptions Also, considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer terminal. Afternoon, evening, and weekend hours are typical for all coaching roles. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described below represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: Active work environment on the course, field, in a gym, or in a fitness room.
