Job Summary The Health and Wellness Director (RN) is responsible for leading the clinical operations within a senior living community. This role oversees resident care, manages nursing staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes the overall health and wellness of residents. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing and care staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Oversee resident assessments, care planning, medication management, and health monitoring Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations Serve as the primary clinical liaison for residents, families, physicians, and care teams Develop and update individualized care plans based on resident needs Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance Lead quality assurance initiatives and participate in audits and surveys Provide on-call support and respond to emergencies Train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff Coordinate with other departments for comprehensive resident care Maintain infection control standards and a safe environment Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or GED required Graduate of an accredited nursing program Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of practice CPR/BLS certification required Prior clinical leadership experience required (long-term care preferred) Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to pass background check and required health screenings Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Work Environment & Physical Demands Indoor, assisted living environment Requires standing, walking, lifting, and assisting residents Exposure to odors and cleaning chemicals Interaction with residents and families in potentially stressful situations Safety-sensitive role impacting health and well-being of residents
