Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: THIS IS AN ANTICIPATED OPENING. The successful applicant will provide instruction for students for Health Career Connections at Northeastern Middle and High School (a satellite program of Springfield-Clark CTC). Qualifications Include But Not Limited To The applicant must have or be willing and able to obtain an Ohio teacher's license or certificate appropriate for the assignment. Applicants are not required to have a current teaching license at the time of application if they have the following experience in the health care field as listed below. If hired, the district will assist in the licensure process. High school diploma and 5 years of related work experience; OR two-year high school career-tech program in related area and 4 years related work experience; OR associate's degree in content area and 3 years of related work experience; OR baccalaureate/master's degree in content area and 2 years of related work experience. Solid knowledge of health care with a passion for designing learning experiences using diverse instruction techniques with an emphasis on meaningful, real-world applications aligned to careers in the health field. Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for teaching and demonstrated ability to individualize instruction and work with students having a variety of needs and abilities. Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills. Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies. Meets all mandated health and background screening requirements including FBI/BCI checks. Major Duties And Responsibilities The following duties are representative of performance expectations. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates with Springfield-Clark CTC and Northeastern staff and leadership. Develops and maintains a positive learning environment that engages students in the curriculum. Has the ability to grow the program. Build relationships with local businesses to support student learning, provide appropriate in-demand industry credentials. Evaluates student performance and consults with parents/guardians as needed. Implements effective student management procedures. Maintains standards and upholds student code of conduct. Stimulates student interest. Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time. Promotes a favorable image of both Springfield-Clark and Northeastern school districts. Assumes any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, or Administration. SALARY & CONTRACT: Placement on the Springfield-Clark CTC Certified Salary Schedule and Benefits Package, based upon education, experience and credentials.
