The CareSource Customer Service Representative position presents an exciting opportunity to put others before yourself.You will have a hand in providing the most important care a person can receive at end-of-life.CareSource is a durable medical equipment company with a full time opening for the position of Customer Service Representative.We are looking for compassionate and customer service friendly individuals.Responsibilities include assisting with answering phones, verification of insurance, billing, receiving and placing customer orders.Prior DME experience is preferred.The Customer Service Representative is a key role of the durable medical equipment industry, often being the first impression a client has of CareSource.Customer Service Representatives must strive to exhibit a Servant Attitude while displaying ethics, responsibility and versatility, taking the initiative to achieve the highest level of customer service through communication and enthusiasm.Please watch this video before applying:https://vimeo.com/320845488 DUTIES/Responsibilities:Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures.Creates/Obtains either by phone, fax, in person, mail, or written method all CMN's, PAR's, physician orders and patient authorizations, as necessary.Ability to communicate effectively with customers/patients by phone, fax, in person, or e-mail about medical products and equipment.Contacts insurance carrier by phone, fax, or in writing to verify patient coverage and benefits, as necessary.Assist walk-in customers with retail sales orders and be knowledgeable of supply prices and reimbursement, as necessary.Assist with bank deposit preparation as needed.Process all orders in a timely and accurate manner.Obtains patient account information including insurance/responsible party either by phone, fax or person.Develop basic reimbursement knowledge and completely document all information necessary to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products and services.Answer incoming phone calls, handle inquiries regarding customer accounts, take customer orders and key order into computer as appropriate.Log all documentation CMN's, PAR's, physician orders and patient authorizations when they are received by manually keying required information into the computer, as necessary.Assist with implementation of quality improvement program to meet company and accreditation standards.Responsible for attendance at in office meetings and online training.Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by management.MINIMUM Qualifications:Possess high school diploma Effective verbal and written communication skills REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERINCE:Experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and general office equipment.REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:Valid Driver's License.COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:Customer Service Competency Assessment PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Sitting, standing, walking, in office Operation of office machinery and computer Occasionally lift/move items up to 35 pounds Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision Job Type:Full-time Pay:$13.00 - $15.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule:8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Work Location:In person.
