Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency. Troubleshoot mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; perform equipment repair or replacement as needed. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs. Assist with property maintenance tasks involving appliance repair, boiler servicing, and general mechanical repairs. Operate a driver vehicle safely for field service visits; maintain accurate service logs and documentation. Utilize welding skills when necessary for system repairs or modifications; interpret schematics for complex system troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems and ammonia refrigeration handling procedures. Support team efforts in HVAC system upgrades or new installations by applying HVAC design principles. Skills Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design concepts. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Strong plumbing skills for connecting or repairing piping within HVAC systems. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, welding, and appliance troubleshooting. Field service experience working directly on-site at various properties; excellent problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; safe driving practices essential.
