Heavy Civil Construction Project Coordinator Miller Equipment Company Location:42636 8th St E, Lancaster, CA 93535Employment Type:Full-Time Position Overview Miller Equipment Company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Heavy Civil Construction Project Coordinator to coordinate the scheduling, movement, and utilization of heavy equipment across multiple job sites.This role plays a critical part in supporting both our operated equipment rental services and contract construction work, ensuring the right equipment and qualified operators are assigned and delivered efficiently to meet project schedules.The Heavy Civil Construction Project Coordinator will serve as a key point of coordination between operations, field crews, and management to maximize equipment utilization, maintain productivity, and support successful project execution.Key Responsibilities Schedule and dispatch operated equipment rentals, including assigning operators to specific machines and projects Coordinate equipment and operator schedules for contract work, ensuring alignment with project timelines and scopes Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to understand daily and upcoming equipment needs Track equipment locations, availability, utilization, and operator assignments Arrange transportation and logistics for equipment mobilization and demobilization Adjust schedules in real time to address breakdowns, delays, weather impacts, or changing job priorities Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule servicing, repairs, and inspections Maintain accurate dispatch records, job assignments, and utilization reports Support fleet management efforts to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and control operating costs Qualifications Experience in equipment dispatching, construction operations, fleet management, or a similar role preferred Strong understanding of heavy equipment operations and jobsite workflows Experience coordinating operated equipment rentals and field personnel strongly preferred Ability to manage multiple jobs, operators, and equipment assets simultaneously Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven construction environment Proficiency with dispatch or fleet management systems (HCSS experience a plus) Work Environment Office-based role supporting multiple active projects and customers Daily coordination with field operators, project management teams, and logistics partners Dynamic construction environment requiring flexibility and quick decision-making Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Long-term career growth opportunities within a stable and expanding company About Miller Equipment Company Miller Equipment Company is a licensed general contractor specializing in heavy civil construction and grading.In addition to performing self-performed contract work, we provide operated equipment rental services, supplying customers with well-maintained heavy equipment and experienced operators to support grading, earthwork, and large-scale infrastructure projects.Our success is built on efficient coordination, strong communication, and dependable field operations.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$35.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
