EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Performs diagnostic assessments and carries out major mechanical and electrical repairs on various vehiclesPerforms repairs per work orders, documents work, maintains records, and identifies parts needed.Replaces vehicle parts and performs electrical diagnostics and repairs to maintain vehicle function.Conducts routine vehicle maintenance and inspections, replacing parts as needed for safe operation.Welds and fabricates parts, and replaces components to ensure safe, efficient vehicle and equipment operation.Repairs hydraulic, brake, engine, and chassis systems on heavy equipment; performs NC vehicle safety inspections and maintains records.Uses maintenance tools and equipment, manages inventory, and keeps the shop clean and organized.Performs other duties as assigned.Special Requirements: Possession of a valid North Carolina Commercial Driver’s License. May require the ability to obtain Automotive Service Excellence Master Certification.
