Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and play a vital role in executing construction projects with precision and efficiency. In this energetic position, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery to support the development of infrastructure, commercial, and residential sites. Duties Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers (dozers), loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery to perform site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling. Manage various trucks such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials and supplies across the construction site. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment like Caterpillar machinery and farm-related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Assist with concrete work by operating mixers and related machinery to facilitate pouring and finishing processes. Support site development activities by clearing debris, leveling ground, digging trenches, and preparing foundations for construction projects. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and other crew members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines. Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and water or tanker trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, material handling, and site preparation processes. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving various trucks including dump trucks and front loader trucks. Ability to operate specialized equipment like concrete mixers or farm machinery when required. Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation in construction environments.
